Founded in 1975 Skateworld has been a staple in the San Diego and Linda Vista community. With its building as a historic resource, HRB #948, Skateworld is dedicated to preserving the look and feel of a building dedicated by Eleanor Roosevelt when it opened in 1941 as the Tenant Activity Building, most notably the many arches that span the entire width of the skating floor and go 9 feet into the ground on either side.

Checking your toe stops, wheels, and laces before skating is very important so that nothing on your skates comes lose or falls off as you are skating.
Bend your knees over your toes and take small walking steps on the carpet before trying the rink. If you feel like you're going to fall, grab your knees
Be sure to step safely onto the floor, looking in all directions for hazards. Always skate in the correct skating direction.
Never, under any circumstances carry anyone while on skates.
Follow all rules and regulations. If a skate guard gives you directions, it is for your safety.
